Fitz Fabrication & Design use a range of metal finishing including:
- Galvanising
- Powder Coating
- Spray Painting
Galvanising is the process of adding a zinc or zinc/iron alloy protective
layer to normal steel. A galvanised item offers greater protection where
the product is used in a hostile environment where it may be exposed to
mud, salt water or abrasive grit and dust.
Powder coating is an advanced method of applying a decorative and protective
finish to a wide range of materials and products that are used by both industries
and consumers. The powder used for the process is a mixture of finely ground
particles of pigment and resin, which is sprayed onto a surface to be coated.
The charged powder particles adhere to the electrically grounded surfaces
until heated and fused into a smooth coating in a curing oven. The result
is a uniform, durable, high-quality, and attractive finish.
Spray painting is a quick and inexpensive method of finishing metal items.
Paints are available in a wide variety of colours and type of finish e.g.
matt, gloss, satin. Clear lacquer can also be applied in place of coloured
paint allowing the true colour of the metal to be seen whilst offering protection
from corrosion.

proposed usage, please do not hesitate to
